The Wisconsin Athletic Director’s Association recognizes individuals from around the state who make a significant contribution to school athletic programs through their service. This year’s recipients of the Wisconsin Athletic Service Award are from Racine Lutheran High School and have served the school in a variety of ways. This year’s winners are Jim and Dottie Aumann.

Mrs. Aumann not only has served delicious food to us daily, but she also has specifically assisted RLHS Athletics by helping prepare food for team banquets and receptions. She often personally helps our athletic director by getting food and supplies for the concession stand, and she has manned the kitchen for our busiest concession event of the year, which is the Grade School Volleyball Tournament.

During his years at Racine Lutheran, Mr. Aumann has coached volleyball, basketball, and track, and he had served as the athletic director. He is a go-to guy whenever we need a person to fill in and supervise events, or to do some tasks that few people want to do like line judge, run the scoreboard, and do the scorebook.

Mr. and Mrs. Aumann also both assist the custodial staff after school and on weekends. Congratulations and thank you, Mr. and Mrs. Aumann. You are true blessings to RLHS!
