This week we will conclude our statewide testing with the sophomores taking the PreACT this Friday, April 11. Thank you for your cooperation and the excellent attendance we have had for our testing days. Please note that any student who missed their assigned testing day will need to be removed from class to take their makeup test during the school day.
All students in grades 9, 11, and 12 will have a virtual day of school this Friday.

You can order a yearbook for your student online through JMC or send your order and payment to the school office in a clearly marked envelope.
RLHS VOLUNTEER/FAMILY SERVICE HOURS
Every family is expected to volunteer at least 20 hours of service each school year (July 1-June 30) to directly benefit RLHS. PLEASE NOTE- RLHS student responsibilities, commitments, and expectations that are part of a sport or club (NHS, Student Council, Student Ambassadors, team events) do not count toward the 20 RLHS service hours.
Thrift Shop Service Hours
We ask that six of those hours are spent volunteering at our Thrift Shop. The Thrift Shop is open Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays and is looking for help during morning shifts (10 a.m.-1 p.m.) and afternoon shifts (1 p.m.- 4 p.m.). Students, parents, grandparents, and friends of RLHS are needed to sort, clean, price and display merchandise and work in the store. One adult and one student, or two adults, are needed for each shift. SATURDAY VOLUNTEERS ARE ESPECIALLY NEEDED!

Service Hours Bonuses
Once your family completes 20 hours, your student will receive a gift certificate for a free lunch at RLHS! Additionally, at the end of the school year, the three families with the most volunteer hours will be awarded a $50 credit to their RLHS school account, which can be applied toward various expenses such as lunch balance, athletic fee, yearbook, parking pass, and more!

*Any senior athlete continuing sports in college needs to make sure Mr. Shaffer knows about your plans. The signing ceremony is planned for May 8 during Activity Time.
*Senior spring athletes need to turn in a $100 uniform deposit to Mr. Shaffer. It will be returned once the uniform is returned at the end of the season. It must be paid to receive your diploma.
Vaping and smoking at high school events are always prohibited.

Meet UW-Madison Information Session
Learn more about attending the University of Wisconsin–Madison! The closest one to us will be held at the Kenosha Northside Public Library on April 14 at 6:00pm. Meet Madison will feature a presentation with information about academics, student life, financial aid, and the admissions process. Guests will also have the opportunity to ask a UW–Madison representative their questions. Any interested high school students and family members are welcome to Register & Attend. Summer Trades Academy
WRTP Big Step is offering their 2025 Racine Summer Trades Academy during the week of June 23-27 from 8am-2pm. This weeklong academy will expose students to various career options in the construction skilled trades. It will include fieldtrips to contractor facilities, live demonstrations, and hands-on activities. Students should contact Milton for more information at mchitatariso@wrtp.org and to sign up.
